Hi, I'm Katie.
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be an artist. I was the kid that was always drawing or creating, making dolls and stuffed animals out of old socks and scraps of fabric. As I got older, rather than pursuing fine art, I thought the more practical decision was to study Illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design. After a few years doing freelance work and odd jobs, I realized I missed painting and it was time to break free of the life I *thought* I should have and embrace the life I truly wanted - a career as a full time painter.
Though I had a formal art education, I struggled to teach myself how to paint realistically and become a successful artist. Now I am a full time painter, making a living selling my work online, at art fairs, and in my dream gallery.
Through grit, determination, and the kindness of other artists who have taught me along the way, my path has brought me here. Now I want to help you on your own artistic path.
